DRUGS AND STOLEN GUN FOUND DURING TRAFFIC STOP: On Nov. 5 at 2:30 a.m., Officer A. Fenlon was patrolling a business in the 3500 block of Crain Highway in Waldorf when he observed a suspicious vehicle. Officer Fenlon approached the driver and observed marijuana inside the car. He also found crack/cocaine, a digital scale, drug paraphernalia and a loaded handgun – which was stolen from a nearby county – inside the vehicle. The occupants, Shilita Christine Hewlett, 24, of California, MD and Francis Terrell Robinson, 32, of Piney Point, MD, were arrested and charged with possession of a stolen firearm and possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.

, : During the overnight hours between Nov. 1 and Nov. 2, unknown suspect(s) broke into several cars parked in the 8000 block of Bloomsbury Place in White Plains and stole valuables which were left inside the vehicles. The sheriff’s office is reminding residents to remove all valuables from their cars when leaving them unattended. Officer D. Proctor is investigating.

ATTEMPT ROBBERY: On Oct 29 at 4:20 p.m., officers responded to the 3300 block of Middletown Road for the report of an attempt robbery and assault. Investigation showed the victim was walking on a path when a group of males approached, assaulted him and tried to take his back pack and shoes. The victim resisted and the suspects fled without getting anything. PFC J. Garner is investigating.
