Deceased couple found by passerby in LaPlata, MD

Charles County Sheriffs detectives are investigating the deaths of a man and a woman whose bodies were found at about 7 a.m. today in a wooded area near Drury Drive in La Plata. The couple, who appeared to be in their 50’s, were found by a passerby and it appeared they had been living at that location. There were no obvious signs of trauma. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore will perform autopsies to determine the cause of death. Investigators are in the process of identifying the couple. The investigation is continuing.
