BURGLARY: On Sept. 22 at 12:44 a.m., officers responded to the 700 block of McCoy Drive in Waldorf for a burglary. The homeowner reported she arrived home and noticed a front window had been broken out. Officers arrived and searched the house. After it was determined no one was still inside, the victim reported the only thing stolen was an assortment of socks. Officer S. Hooper is investigating.

MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH: On Sept. 21 at 3:50 p.m., officers responded to the area of Hawthorne Road west of Mitchell Road in La Plata for the report of a crash involving three vehicles and a school bus. A preliminary investigation showed the driver of a Dodge Dakota was traveling west on Hawthorne Road when he lost control of his truck, crossed the center lines and struck a Ford pick-up truck and a Jeep which were in the east bound lanes. A school bus traveling directly behind the Jeep struck the Jeep after it was disabled from the initial impact. The driver of the Dodge – a 16-year-old male – was flown to a hospital with serious injuries. Three students on the bus were transported to Charles Regional Medical Center as a precaution. None of the other drivers were injured. Master Cpl. J. Hopkins is investigating.

BURGLARY: On Sept. 21 at 3:30 p.m. officers responded to the 3300 block of Leonardtown Road in Waldorf for the report of an intrusion alarm. Officers arrived shortly after and observed the front glass door was broken. Multiple packs of Newport cigarettes were stolen, along with various cigars. Officer G. Cook is investigating.

STOLEN AUTO: On Sept 19, a car was reported stolen from the area of Bannister Circle and Brightwell Court. The vehicle is a 2013 Ford Fusion, white in color with Maryland tags. PFC J. Foster is investigating.
